"All I Want for Christmas" is the theme for the 17th annual Canyon County Festival of Trees. This event is the start of the Christmas season for thousands of individuals in Nampa, Caldwell and the surrounding communities.

Since its beginning in 1991, the Canyon County Festival of Trees has supported the Meals on Wheels Programs of Nampa and Caldwell providing over 48,000 meals in 2007.

Known as one of Canyon County's premiere events of the year, the Canyon County Festival of Trees has become a family tradition for many residents in the Treasure Valley. During the Thanksgiving holiday, the Nampa Civic Center is transformed into a Christmas wonderland lit by trees, wreaths, centerpieces, crafts and special events designed for the whole family.

The Festival kicks off with a special preview for all the sponsors, donors and volunteers. Family Weekend is fun for all ages featuring live entertainment, Create-a-Bear workshops, Reading Is Fun Book Fair, pictures with Santa, a silent auction, and crafts for sale. An evening of Holiday Entertaining is another Festival favorite featuring a cooking presentation and make-and-take crafts. The grand finale of the Festival is the Gala, a formal dinner and auction, known as the premiere event of the season.

Individuals, families, businesses, service groups and corporations come together to bring the Canyon County Festival of Trees to Nampa in support of the Meals on Wheels programs for Nampa, Caldwell, Greenleaf, Middleton and surrounding areas. Their contributions help to feed thousands and the Festival board is grateful for their continued support and commitment to the festival.
